Since we run our machines in cloud based data centers, oftentimes these don’t allow easy use of geolocations services like maxmind’s geoip service.
That means that they sometimes show up in the wrong location or flagged as anonymous.
If you are trying to run location based testing and notice that our machines get tagged in the wrong region and connect to a wrong TURN or media server on your end, then you can take one of the following steps:
- Try to modify your load balancing rules to work using latency-based routing and not by using geolocation routing
- Add in your code the ability to force a location that can be added to the requested URL
