The Ping Widget is in charge of checking HTTP ping round trip time to various locations and finding out the closest viable data center.
This test gives a general indication of the distance between the user’s location and the various data centers you operate.

Customization
During onboarding, we can:
- Define the data center locations to check against. Typically, we test 2-3 data center locations based on the location of the user himself
- Note that the data centers we use for Ping tests are the ones running the Bandwidth Speed tests
When to use?
Today we tend to run the ping as a silent and more comprehensive test in qualityRTC. This leaves room for more tests to run as visual widgets.
