What is this about?
We’ve detected that you might be on a wireless WiFi connection. Also, it feels from the tests conducted that the reception you have where you are located to the WiFi access point isn’t optimal. This means your calls and meetings will be affected – you will be experiencing more media quality issues than you should.
Potential risks
If you are using WiFi and have your device too far away from the WiFi access point, that is going to make reception a challenge, causing shorts disruptions and network bursts. This will manifest itself as video and audio freezes at random times throughout your calls and meetings.
Suggested actions to take
- Switch to an Ethernet connection if you can, especially if you are conducting your calls and meetings from the same location most of the time
- If you can’t use Ethernet, make sure you know where the WiFi access point you are connected to is, and try to be as close to it as possible. That will improve reception and by extension, the quality of your calls and meetings
- Prefer using the newer 5 GHz WiFi connections over the older 2.4 GHz ones. They are better
